SAPO launches the Automobile Classified Channel

SAPO has just launched SAPO Auto, a project which is focused on the sale of new and semi-new cars. Available for professionals and individuals, SAPO Auto works as a meeting place for sellers and buyers.

The advantage of SAPO Auto in relation to other projects of its kind is its visibility, through the incorporation of Portugal’s largest portal, with more than two million, eight hundred thousand monthly users. The service allows its users to carry out every type of search by make, model, price, year or mileage. It also allows the client to be able to immediately ask the seller for further information regarding the vehicle as well as book an appointment for a viewing or to carry out a transaction. Every ad can have up to 4 photographs and relevant information regarding the vehicle.

For professionals, this is a great showcase for their vehicles, as so, large companies in the business have associated themselves to it from day one. Companies like Globalcar, NacionalCar, the Sousa Lima Group, Citroen (Lisbon Branch), Auto-Sueco (Lisbon Branch), Vesauto and many others are already working with the portal. Any seller can also put their car on-line and wait to be contacted by a possible buyer. All that the seller has to do is to pay the costs to SAPO if the advertisements placed are viewed (from 5 cents per click, per ad – minimum deposit of 25 Euros).
 
Inaugurated with more than 1000 cars in the database, SAPO Auto hopes to reach 5000 by the end of the year. For João Paulo Luz, Commercial Director of SAPO, “this was one of the offers that we were missing regarding Classified Ads because we already had Read Estate, Jobs and Personal Ads. With this, SAPO closes its Classified Ads in Portugal by offering advertisements in every relevant area”.
