CFO Portugal Telecom Investor Relations are distinguished by ''Institutional Investor''

Portugal Telecom has once again given proof of its international recognition. The Institutional Investor elected Zeinal Baca as the best CFO and Nuno Prego as the best Investor Relations on a European level in the integrated telecommunications business sector.
Portugal Telecom once again deserved the biggest international recognition by the Institutional Investor Magazine, a highly esteemed publication in the financial community. Financial Analysts (sell side) nominated and distinguished PT as having the best CFO (Chief Financial Officer), for the third consecutive year, and the best professional in Investor Relations on a European level in the integrated telecommunications business sector (companies who integrate both fixed and mobile networks). On a National level, Portugal Telecom was distinguished by the majority of investors (buy side) and analysts (sell side) with the award for Best Investro Relations Strategy.
According to Zeinal Bava “the recognition of Institutional Investor is the result of team wprk which develops a great effort to improve the operational and financial presentation of the Group on a daily basis, positioning us in a competitive manner in the world’s main financial market”.

A recognition story
In 2004, PT took home 3 of the Investor Relations Awards which is promoted annually by Deloitte & Touche and the Semanário Económico: Grand Prix for the Best Global Program of Investor Relations / Company quoted on the PSI 20; Best Use of Technology in Investor Relations; Best Annual Report / Non-financed Companies (honourable mention), were the awarded categories.
The IR magazine also placed Portugal Telecom among the best companies in the Euro Area in the relations with investors category by awarding them the “Grand Prix for Best Overall Investor Relations”, as well as the award for "Best Use of Internet for Investor Relations".
In 2003, the Institutional Investor magazine distinguished the investor relations team as the best among companies that are quoted in Portugal and the second best in terms of European Telecommunications companies.
In the same publication, they elected Zeinal Bava as the best CFO in European, a distinction that had already been made in 2002.
