A new era in telecommunications is arriving. With the launch of third generation mobile telephones, the arrival of Wi-Fi, the dissemination of commercial HotSpots, as well as the continuous development of corporate applications and solutions, the IDU decided to promote a conference dedicated to mobility and telecommunications.
The objective was to analyse the impact and respective benefits of mobility and convergence in telecommunications at a corporate level.
Among those who were present, was Eduardo Cláudio, Director at TMN that stated that “TMN wants to be the first supplier of global mobility corporate services through telecommunications solutions and through partnerships with companies which complement TMN”. For Eduardo Cláudio, “mobility is the future. Companies have the notion of this and because of this, acceptance has been great”. He also added that “we all have something to gain if we work together. TMN is playing its part. Firstly because it is developing solutions so that companies can increase their productivity. Secondly because we are disclosing products. And thirdly, because we are joining partnerships which complement us in various areas”. According to this Director at TMN, “this is a growth process, but it must be a sustainable growth”.
Other questions were also analysed at this conference, including communication costs, information security and the service level guarantee (QoS), some of which are still a challenge which needs to be faced.
