The process underway implies that a new access card be sent to the TV Cabo satellite service clients who have in their equipment a card with a number inferior to 060129280015.
Before replacing the cards the client needs to update the equipment software whose detailed instructions are supplied with the new card. So that the exchange process is complete, the access card used until then has to be returned to TV Cabo.
For subscribers with powerbox, the new cards were sent until the beginning of November and the deactivation of the old cards is now underway. Once this procedure is concluded, the old cards of the other equipment will be deactivated.
All the above mentioned operations (update of software, replacement of card and return of old card) are to be made until the end of the year (2005), if not the clients can lose access to the services.
For clients with equipments other than Octal, Sagem and Humax-NA-FOX a new receiver – powerbox – together with the new card will be supplied because the current equipment is not compatible with the client’s new card. In this case, the client will be contacted by TV Cabo, to stipulate a date for the delivery of the new card and new powerbox equipment and the return of the old card.
If there are any doubts (as to the update of software, some problem with the new card, stipulating a date, the delivery or the activation) the client must please contact the TV Cabo Customer Assistance Service - 707 211 411.
