PT receives award from Institutional Investor

According to a study carried out by the prestigious Institutional Investor, Nuno Prego, Investor Relations Manager at PT is the best “Investor Relations” in the telecommunications sector in Europe. Said study also indicates PT as the best company at national level, ranking fourth in the telecommunications sector at European level
Portugal Telecom was the most distinguished Portuguese company by the prestigious Institutional Investor Research. As in past editions, the awards for entities, personalities and individuals which have best contributed towards the quality of financial information, the telecommunications company stood out amongst its national counterparts and reached various top positions at European and world level in various categories. Said study considers criteria such as financial transparency, access to top management, prompt answers and clarifications and institutional communication quality. The list integrates 14 categories that were analysed by around one thousand analysts from one hundred investment houses throughout Europe.

Nuno Prego, best “Investor Relations” in the telecommunications sector in Europe | The highlight of this study goes to Nuno Prego, who ranked first together with his counterpart at KPN, Eric Hageman, in the category of best Investor Relations in the telecommunications sector at European level. According to the head of the Group’s Investor Relations Department, this distinction is “positive for PT. It reveals great team effort and the result of continuous work throughout various years”. This is the second, consecutive time that Nuno Prego is distinguished by Institutional Investor in the same sector. Zeinal Bava is also amongst Europe’s best in the category of best CFO in a voting carried out by the investors, having obtained a second place in the sector and a first place in terms of European integrated operators. In fact the Deputy Chairman of the PT Group has already won this award three times.
The study further reveals that PT ranked fourth in the telecommunications sector. Investors and European financial analysts took part in this voting. Highlight goes to Francisco Campos from Portugal Telecom, who reached sixth place ex aequo in the category of best “Investor Relations” in the telecommunications sector in Europe.
