PT Prime and Grupo Português de Saúde (Portuguese Group of Health) sign protocol
Wednesday, January 11, 2006

The protocol signed by PT Prime and the Grupo Português de Saúde proposes, for the first time, a totally integrated solution at intra-hospital level. A continuous aspiration always with the future in mind.

The aim of this protocol is to offer an integrated solution of the health and technology areas. It started being elaborated a year ago and as of the beginning of 2006 it will start being implemented in 18 hospitals throughout the country. This number will certainly increase in the future.

“This will most certainly be the first of many protocols with the Grupo Português de Saúde, as health is already a transversal area of the PT Group. I believe this partnership is going to be a successful one”, said Carlos Alves Duarte from PT Prime during the signing of the protocol between the company and the Grupo Português de Saúde. Representing the latter were the Chairman José António Mendes Ribeiro and the Director João Pedro da Cruz Sobral Picoto. According to the representatives of GPSaúde “one of the hospitals that most stands out in this initial phase is Hospital de Braga, as it also functions as a university and so it can enjoy simultaneous benefits”.

This strategic partnership aims at a commitment by both companies for the development of various projects such as the supply of communications to the GPSaúde by the PT Group, and the supply of Health, Hygiene and Safety at Work services by the GPSaúde to the PT Group.

Within the scope of health, projects will be developed in the area of Systems of Hospital Information, Systems of Radiological Information, Enterprise Resources Planning, Systems for the Management of Waiting Lists, Systems of Information to Users (Corporate TV), TeleHomeCare Solutions, e-learning Solutions, Telemedicine Solutions, Client Cards, Tele-Vigilance Solutions, Contact Centre Solutions and Systems for Decision Support.

An alliance awaiting success in 2006 and that aims at being a reference for the entire health market.
