New Sport TV2 as of 8th June

TV Cabo is going to launch the new Premium Sport TV2 channel which will be broadcasted as of 8th June. The presentation to the press took place at the new studio, were there will be more live  and exclusive transmissions  

The new TV Cabo channel, Sport TV2 is going to take off on 8th June. The channel assures more live and exclusive programmes, thus complementing the programme schedule of Sport TV. The broadcast of the new channel will take place from Monday to Friday between 18h and 24h, and on weekends between 13h and 24h.

The presentation was carried out by the Programme Manager, Nuno Marques Ferreira and the Director of Sport TV, Bessa Tavares. Pedro Mota Carmo, member of the Sport TV Board was also present at the presentation and said that “the operators see this launch as an added value for the client as the latter’s offer increases practically 50% and with no additional cost”.

The new Sport TV2 aims at assuring subscriber requests, thus allowing a greater coverage of sports events and becoming a strong alternative.

Bessa Tavares, stated that this new channel “aims at answering the various questions that we place during surveys, in order to improve quality and obtain more products.” Above all, the channels wants to assure the needs of the most faithful subscribers, as now it is a Premium package of TV Cabo.

In the words of the Programme Manager, Nuno Marques Ferreira, the new Sport TV2 is going to continue with the same elements that comprise the Sport TV team. The manager still added that “the first programme of the broadcast will be on the World Football Championship and the semi-finals of indoor football will also be broadcasted.”

This new bet of TV Cabo and Sport TV aims at attaining, for one year, more than 400 live transmissions and a greater number of exclusives. This way, Sport TV2 is going to cover a larger number of sports events.
