PT Comunicações commercial information services are now concentrated at a single number, 1820, which is the new Premium informative service. 1820 offers 100% personalised assistance by professionals with experience and specific training. Access if free from any network, fixed or mobile, with the possibility of forwarding the call to the number requested by the client.
As a complement to the traditional information related to the telephone number and address, 1820 now presents a greater variety of contents in partnership with Sapo, the Yellow Pages and other entities. An example is information related to the company, economical activity, timetables, products, cultural information (theatre, cinema, events, Cable TV programming), tourist guides (itineraries and information per location and geographical area), on call pharmacies, utility and public administration services, counselling and public utility services, transportation timetables, hotels and restaurants, post code, the weather, and other information.
Parallel to this, one can also carry out an open search which complements the traditional direct search (for example, “I’d like to know restaurants in the area of Alcácer do Sal... and what the telephone number is/instead of … can you give me the number of the Restaurant Hortelã da Ribeira in Alcácer…).
There is no limit to the number of information available and the price is related to the Access network and the duration of the call.
In parallel, the 118 telephone information service, a regulated service which constitutes an obligation to a universal service, will maintain its current characteristics – basic information of telephone numbers, names and addresses, semi-automatic with the limitation of two pieces of information and a fixed cost per call.
