Sheer Passion for Underprivileged Children

PT, Benfica, Sporting and Porto joined together in yet another Sheer Passion initiative and took joy to underprivileged children. Contribute to this cause. By handing in a new toy, you can get a discount in the purchasing of tickets for the new matches of the three greatest teams
Portugal Telecom launched another challenger for the three greatest Portuguese football teams. This challenge was accepted and transformed itself into a unique initiative which promises to bring joy to underprivileged children. But, in order to offer a happier Christmas to children supported by the União das Misericórdias Portuguesas, the participation of supporters is essential. Those who take a new toy to the match on the 16th with Sporting, on the 17th with Porto and on the 21st with Benfica, can benefit from a special discount when purchasing their tickets.
The toys are handed over to the União das Misericórdias Portuguesas who will be responsible for distributing them among the children which it protects throughout the country.
In the Alvalade Stadium, toys will be received between the 14th and 16th of December and a discount of 5 euros will be given to supporters when purchasing a ticket for the match with Académica on the 16th of December.
Between the 15th and 17th, the session will take place at the Dragão Stadium and the discount is applicable to tickets for the match with Paços de Ferreira (17th December). At the Luz Stadium, those who wish to contribute with toys can do so on the 21st of December (match day with Belenenses) in which supporters will only pay 5 euros for any seat in the stadium.
The partnership between PT and the football clubs which it sponsors does not only occur in sporting events and takes on a role of social responsibility which helps in the realisation of the dreams of those in need.
Sheer Passion initiatives have become a reality and this year, with the auctions on the SAPO portal of Benfica and Sporting shirts, Euro 24 thousand were raised and handed over to Elo Social and to the Figo Foundation.
