The new SAPO homepage is already on air. The leading portal in Portugal bets on innovation, usage, content reinforcement and community. These vectors have always been present in the elaboration of this new main page of SAPO, ''one of the largest projects of the team'', as refers Celso Martinho, Technical Manager at SAPO.
The testing period, which lasted approximately one week counted with the participation of the users who could leave their opinions and suggestions to improve the page. Over 35 thousand votes on the on-line survey, market studies and focus groups lead to one single conclusion: SAPO’s homepage is better. And why? Because the page is vaster, with information organised in thematic areas and so surfing is more simple and intuitive. This has been a constant concern of SAPO.
The portal privileges the national and international News, as i tis increasingly sought after by internauts. Research, ''a killer application of SAPO'', as referred by Celso Martinho to éPT! continues to be a major area for 2007.
Interactivity and multimedia services have not been forgotten and so, there is a new area for personalisation, according to user preferences. Community, the portal’s ‘‘support’’ also has its own space on the new homepage, where you can promote blogs, photographs, videos and other contents generated by users.
