Napster Mobile exclusively on TMN mobile telephones
Tuesday, November 14, 2006
TMN, as the result of an agreement made with Ericsson and Napster, announced today, the exclusive launching, in Portugal, of the Napster Mobile music service. With this agreement, TMN gives its clients access to searching, selection, preview and download via mobile telephone of more then 2 million complete songs

Napster Mobile is a digital format music service which allows TMN clients to access a portfolio of more than 2 million songs through the Napster application which has been previously installed in Sony-Ericsson K610i mobile telephones. Any other equipment can get this application through TMN’s i9 portal. With this service, clients of the mobile operator can look for their favourite music, listen to them free of charge for a period of 30 seconds, and after, purchase those which are selected. The single price of each complete song is 1,49 euros.
Once purchased, the music can be listened to on the mobile telephone from any location whenever the client wants.
Shortly, TMN clients will also be able to listen to their music through a computer.

The Napster Mobile service also includes other functions. The most recent is an intelligent application which, based on the navigation history, recommends a specific song to a client, according to their individual tastes.

We recall that, since March 2001, Ericsson has been linked to Sony, and these two multinational companies have since then, been joined by the objective of reaching a worldwide leadership in the mobile multimedia sector. Napster, on the other hand, is one of the most used music services in the world.

With this unique launching, which joins the already existing offer of Music Box of Nokia mobile telephones, TMN definitely stands out in the music area in Portugal.
Now associated to two of the largest companies of the sector on an international level, TMN reinforces its leadership as a multimedia operator which allows its clients exclusive access to a panoply of varied third generation contents and services.
