As of now TMN clients can already surf as they want and locate their destinations with the help of a mobile phone. This is the great advantage of the GPS which is now incorporated in mobile phones. The HTC P3600 Trinity and HTC P3300 Artemis are now the TMN offer with this tool
The global positioning system (GPS) has become a necessary tool in trips whether when going on holidays or for your daily trips. But as of now it is possible to integrate this tool on your mobile phone. This way, via a positioning system via satellite you can identify a position, a certain location and the way to get there.
Currently, TMN clients can access the GPS from the HTC P3600 Trinity, available for all clients and from the HTC P3300 Artemis, a model commercialised for professional clients.
Clients that already have the HTC P3600 Trinity, can download the new software version at www.tmn.pt, where all the steps for the respective set-up shall be indicated. This is all you need to have the GPS function and to use the maps of the navigation system tomtom Navigator 6. By setting up this system TMN clients will also have a free map of a Portuguese city. Users than buy a HTC P3600 Trinity, will have immediate access to these functions and just need to set up the map.
In the near future, TMN will present other mobile phone models with incorporated GPS. Highlight goes to the Nokia N95, one of the most complete mobile phones on the market with a 5 Mpx camera, Internet Access at 1,8 Mbps, WiFi, an advanced music digital reader and of course GPS. During the past weekend over one hundred clients left their data on the TMN site so as to be contacted as soon as the Nokia N95 is available.
The functions of localisation and navigation are one of the current priorities of TMN.
