Wednesday, November 19, 2008
On the frontline since the launch of e.escolinha program, in terms of ‘Magalhães’ PCs delivered, Portugal Telecom offers special conditions for students subscribing to this program. As of now customers subscribing to TMN/SAPO e.escolinha program, enjoy a five Euro discount on TMN’s mobile broadband and Internet Sapo ADSL tariffs

PT has just presented a number of special conditions for Internet access in the scope of the e.escolinha program. When subscribing to ‘Magalhães’, customers are entitled to a 5 Euro discount (offer valid for 24 month contracts only) on TMN’s mobile broadband tariffs (Banda Larga Light and Banda Larga) as well as on Internet Sapo ADSL (4 Mbps, 8 Mbps and 24 Mbps). This is an initiative that aims to facilitate the integration of students in the first 4 school years into the Information Society.

For Internet surfing with ‘Magalhães’ PC, you just need to choose one of the abovementioned tariffs when subscribing to the e.escolinha program or supply the mobile number or email address. Besides, TMN and SAPO also have broadband prepaid packages available, ideal for sporadic Internet use.

As to hardware, ‘Magalhães’ users may acquire an access board for 59.90 Euro, if opting for TMN’s mobile broadband tariffs. Customers choosing SAPO ADSL broadband fixed solution will receive the wireless SAPO kit cost-free.

For further information on Internet access, dial 800 96 22 00 to contact TMN or 16200 to contact SAPO.

It should be recalled that ‘Magalhães’ computer may be acquired in very competitive conditions: cost-free or 20 Euro for those students eligible for social support from school, depending on their level of support, and 50 Euro for the remaining students.

Unquestionable e.escola program leader through TMN, PT also contributes via the e.escolinha program to skills acquisition in terms of computer and internet use. PT promotes thus a consolidated and timely integration into the Information Society, and simultaneously making society aware of the importance of New Technologies.
