T2 for 3 is back on the internet and jumps onto television

After the enormous success of the first season, “T2 for 3” series is back on SAPO portal and this time on television as well, its second season being transmitted on RTP. In order to find the three protagonists of the new season, the casting team of this series will travel throughout the whole country. Online registration will start on 7 October

“T2 for 3” was born in January 2008, the first Portuguese multi-platform online series produced by Sapo, in partnership with beActive. A success series that premiered on SAPO portal, on TMN’s Meo Mobile, on SAPO Mobile and on Meo VideoClub. Throughout 130 episodes, the three students shared a house in Bairro Alto quarter and lived a story full of incidents, typical of who shares a flat. The 130 episodes were followed by 5 million spectators, a number revealing an enormous success.

The remodelled second season of “T2 for 3”, apart from being exhibited on SAPO portal, shall also be broadcast by RTP as of February 2009, and will continue to follow the adventures and misfortunes of three young students in a small Bairro Alto flat.

Castings for the second season of “T2 for 3” start will start on 27 October in Lisbon, followed by Coimbra (28 October), Aveiro (29 October), Porto (30 October), Braga (31 October) and Faro (4 November). Online registration is open between 7 and 25 October at website http://t2para3.sapo.pt/.

Casting auditions are free and each participant is free to choose a tune or text from a series, film or theatre play. For two minutes, participants have to give their best to impress the jury. A sort of Jack Johnson is sought for the male character. Boys are invited to take a guitar with them. The final voting of the winners will be done by internet surfers, between 10 and 28 November.

“T2 for 3” series was a real success, becoming an international phenomenon, having been sold recently to Greece, Italy, UK and Ireland. It is also nominated for the C21 Media Awards 2008, an event that will take place next week in Cannes, as part of the MIPCOM 2008 program.
