TV Globo Portugal and PFC available in open signal on Meo

Meo consolidates its programming by making premium channels TV Globo and PFC available as of tomorrow. The new channels will be broadcast, as a promotion, in open signal up to 15 September on positions 80 and 34 respectively. They will bring new contents of unquestionable quality, in Portuguese language, to the 116,000 Meo customers
Two new channels will be available on Meo’s programming as of tomorrow, 15 August. TV Globo and PFC, premium entertainment and sports channels respectively, will be available in open signal up to 15 September, as a promotion. They shall be found on positions 80 (TV Globo Portugal) and 34 (PFC).
As part of a Premium offer, both channels shall be available for IPTV and Satellite customers, but only TV Globo Portugal channel is available on the latter platform for the time being. They can be subscribed separately or as a package. These channels not only consolidate Meo’s global offer to 116,000 customers but, above all, they bring new content of unquestionable quality in Portuguese language.
The new channels
TV Globo Portugal – A diversified programming with international quality distinguishes TV Globo Portugal channel. There will be entertainment for the entire family, including talk-shows, mini-serials, and a selection of the best soap operas, programs for kids, documentaries, news and humour programs: everything in Portuguese 24 hours a day.
PFC – PFC is the Brazilian football channel. Every match from the A and B series of the Brazilian Championship, from the regional Championships in the states of S. Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Rio Grande do Sul and Minas Gerais as well as from the Brazil Cup are broadcast exclusively on PFC. There are hundreds of live matches in a programming dedicated to everything that happens on Brazilian pitches 24 hours a day. PFC also presents differed broadcasts of the matches of the week, the best goals of the day and special programs with the best sports journalism in Brazil.
Meo, a new television experience
Meo is Portugal Telecom’s television service, provided via IPTV, Satellite and Mobile platforms, which has re-defined the TV-watching concept in Portugal. Today, apart from the 110 channels available, Meo customers may access a range of advanced functionalities such as: Channel subscription directly from the Meo menu; VideoClub with over1,300 films available, including HD as well as cost-free content; Programming Guide, containing summaries and direct transmission from each channel; High Definition content; TV Pause and Digital Recording up to 140 hours of broadcast.
