UZO rolls out new mobile Internet service
Monday, October 20, 2008
As of 20 October 2008 Uzo customers can start accessing the Internet on their mobile phones, supported on TMN’s 3G network. To celebrate this launch, Uzo customers may access this service cost-free up to 30 November

The new service will be available for every UZO customer, via mobile phones supporting GSM/GPRS and 3G technology, allowing mobile internet access anytime anyplace, with speeds up to 512 kbps, supported on TMN’s 3G network.

In order to celebrate the service rollout, Uzo customers may access the Internet cost-free up to 30 November (under a fair use policy). After this date, the service will be billed per MB, t he price for every access starting at 9.75 cents per MB, without time limitation.

In order to guarantee the best service, Uzo associated itself to Sapo to create the UZO mobile portal – available from every mobile phone on m.uzo.pt. On this portal, it is possible to get information on open pharmacy stores, traffic, news, stock exchange, weather, among others, in a fast and efficient way.

By rolling out Internet access via mobile phone, Uzo also introduces an innovative functionality on its portal – Click to Call – that allows the establishment of a call to Uzo’s customer service, from the page where a user is navigating and clarify any doubt about the service or even order products, with free delivery, at the specified address.

To start surfing the internet, it is only necessary to activate “Internet on the Mobile” service by calling 1234 (cost-free call) or in the personal area ‘my uzo’ on http://www.uzo.pt/ and to configure the mobile phone by dialling 707 96 00 00 or through the site.

UZO hassle-free!
