The Andromeda Strain

Sci Fi – ‘The Andromeda Strain’. Exclusive Premiere. Aired: Saturday 17, at 9:30 PM and Saturday 18, at 9:30 PM

Sci Fi channel will premiere, in January, a mini-series never transmitted before in the Portuguese television: “The Andromeda Strain”. Based on Michal Crichton’s novel and produced by Tony and Ridley Scott, it got six nominations in the latest Emmy Awards. The story tells how a team of scientists succeeds in stopping an extremely dangerous and deadly virus that haunts the United States and seems to be of alien origin.

AXN – ‘Criminal Minds’ T4. Premiere Monday 19, at 9:30 PM. Aired: Mondays, at 9:30 PM

Criminal minds

Criminal Minds shows the daily work of a brigade of top criminal profilers, who work for the FBI, and whose specialty is the in-depth analysis of the minds of the country’s most malevolent serial killers. At the start of this fourth season, one of the vehicles of the Behavioral Analysis Unit is attacked. The remaining elements of the team fight against time to save their colleagues hit by the bomb and work hard to capture the terrorists responsible for the assault.

Sony Entertainment – ‘Becker’ T2. Premiere Friday 23, at 9:30 PM. Aired: Fridays, at 9:30 PM

 ‘Becker’ is a comedy classic, produced and directed by the same people responsible for hits such as ‘Frasier’ or ‘Seinfeld’. ‘Becker’ joins thus other TV-series transmitted on Comedy Night at Sony Entertainment Television. The most mordacious and politically incorrect doctor is interpreted by Ted Danson, the mythical Sam Malone, the barman from ‘Cheers’, winner of several Emmy Awards.

FOX – ‘Malcolm in the Middle’. Premiere Saturday 24, at 2:15 PM. Aired: From Monday to Sunday, at 2:15PM

Having won seven Emmy Awards, this TV-series turns around an original middle-class family, composed of four brothers and their parents, who try to withstand adolescent

Sony Entertainment – ‘Family Law’ T2. Premiere Saturday 24, at 8:05 PM. Aired: Saturdays, at 8:05 PM

The second season of drama series “Family Law” has Kathleen Quinn (Apollo 13) as protagonist with two episodes aired every Saturday. “Family Law” tells us the story of Lynn Holt (Kathleen Quinn), a tenacious and successful lawyer, a Family Law specialist who has been severely hit.

Conviction

FOX Next – ‘Conviction’. Premieres Monday, 26, at 9:30 PM. Aired: Mondays, at 9:30 PM

This is a lawyer TV series with a strong human, sentimental and relational component. The story follows a group of young, good-looking assistant district attorneys, exploring the emotion and complexity of the cases they defend as well as each one’s individuality.

FOX – ‘The Unit’ T4 - Premiere, Wednesday 28, at 9:30 PM. Transmission: Wednesdays, at 9:30 PM

The unit

 ‘The Unit’ is a dramatic action series following a team of Special Forces operatives risking their lives in far-flung locations, while their wives keep up appearances and their homes in good order, keeping their husbands’ secrets. This show, whose third season had an average audience of 10.7 million viewers in the United States of America per episode, is based on producer Eric Haney’s work ‘Inside Delta Force’ and reinforces the action programming on Wednesdays on FOX. In its fourth season now, action rises in intensity and, more than ever, the lives of the brave warriors are exposed to the danger.
