As of next Friday, 1 January 2010, Fox Life channel will become part of MEO’s base services at position 64, both for MEO IPTV (ADSL and Fibre) and for MEO Satellite customers. A bet that consolidates Meo’s offering in terms of series and entertainment contents, and complements Portugal Telecom’s strategic bet in this area.
The integration of this channel in MEO’s programming grid is the result of PT’s bet on the establishment of partnerships with the most important content players on the market such as the case of FOX International Channels (FIC).
Partners since the start of the service, MEO and FIC already provide five thematic channels (FOX/FOX HD, FOX Next, FOX Crime and FX), now joined by FOX Life.
Apart from FOX series and entertainment channels, MEO provides the ‘FOX on Demand service’ in its MEO VideoClub offering for free, launched in Portugal by FIC for MEO IPTV customers in the TV Channels area of the MEO VideoClub under the designation of FOX Channels.
Through the Fox-on-Demand service, MEO IPTV customers may access shows from FOX, FOX Life, FOX Crime, FX and FOX Next channels and watch for free the episodes of their favourite TV series once again. MEO is the first operator in Portugal to provide this kind of service and this kind of contents in its video-on-demand service – MEO VideoClub.
