Portugal’s major portal has undergone a facelift. Get to know SAPO’s new homepage and contribute with your suggestions at http://beta.sapo.pt.

The homepage of Portugal’s leading portal has a new look. Two years ago, SAPO’s homepage underwent a major revamp by means of a professional methodology of project analysis and development and statistical tools. Today, after nearly one year of project that involved usability studies, user surveys, statistical analyses, research on editorial and commercial requirements, building wireframes and conducting multiple tests with focus groups and eye-tracking devices, SAPO renewed its image once again and presents its proposal to the public. The beta version of Portugal’s major portal is available online at http://beta.sapo.pt and expects the final inputs from users before its launch soon.

Based on new technologies and main Internet trends, SAPO’s new homepage aims to maintain the same standards in terms of innovation, irreverence and quality that its users have been used to.

Its focus on content in terms of news, entertainment and communities and the big thematic areas are but a few changes to be found on the new homepage that will make life easier for the more than 900,000 users that access SAPO daily.
