Rute Costa, from the department of Management of Products and Services highlighted the lack of need for initial technology investment, maintenance costs or software or hrdware update.

The potential of the service lies on remote, real-time file, application and desktop sharing. Participants may also change or write notes on shared documents.

The communication proceeds with real-time sound and image, as the service allows a more effective management of each one’s agenda, as it is possible to participate anywhere. But even so, if you cannot attend the conference or wish to review it later, the whole session may be recorded for later sharing and viewing.

The collaborative features of the service have been highlighted by Luís Silva, Product Manager. Users may share documents, presentations or multimedia contents; applications; PC desktops and directories; browsers and web based presentations.

Employees maintain their conferencing and collaboration capacity as they may continue their activity at home. Customer contact remains via non-presential channels and suppliers maintain their communication capabilities to ensure the supply of products and services. All conditions are met to maintain the relationship with all stakeholders.

According to Frost & Sullivan research, the web conferencing market is estimated to reach 3.4 million Euro worldwide in 2014.
