PT’s good practices in the scope of sustainability keep being recognised. After having got the first position at the Enterprise and Organisation Citizenship Awards last January, PT was honoured internationally with the Silver Class in the Sustainability Yearbook 2010, thus marking its presence in the list of the world’s sustainability leaders.
This yearbook, published by the SAM Group (Sustainable Asset Management), in cooperation with PricewaterhouseCoopers is a publication of reference and the most comprehensive on sustainability trends and corporate sustainability performance for companies.
This world publication comprises the 2,500 largest companies (based on the Dow Jones Global Total Stock Market) from 58 different sectors.
Taking into consideration the 2009/2010 sustainability leaders, PT got silver Class in the wireline sector. In accordance with this annually published ranking, PT has evolved thus from Bronze Class, assigned in 2008, to Silver Class this year.
This honour, in the 11th edition of the Sustainability Yearbook, recognises the sustainable strategy, policy and commitment that Portugal Telecom has been implementing in the last few years and its excellence in the sustainability domain.
