The apparent similarity of functionalities among operators was the starting point for a new Meo campaign. If it is true that nowadays all services already have TV Guide, Zapping with now and next, Recordings, TV Pause, Video-Club and Widgets, the reality is that when these functionalities are analysed to greater detail, the Meo experience is typically superior, stressed Vera Pinto Pereira, TV Product Manager.

So, ease of use, simplicity and rapidity are, according to the opinion of the Product Manager, attributes directly associated with Meo, really differentiating vis-à-vis competing offers. Apart from the service features, highlight should also go to price. As of 30 August, new Meo Fibre subscribers will enjoy a 50% discount in the monthly payment until year-end.

For customers, the characteristics of the service and of the campaign show several advantages: unlimited calls 24h per day for national landline calls (numbers starting by 2) and international calls to 30 countries (9PM to 9AM) in the packages with voice, Video-Club and interactive services in the TV sets with MEOBox, mobile broadband up to 100 MB per month in all packages with Internet, as the installation and activation fees are waived.

Video-Club – “All this is Meo”: this is highlighted in the new media campaign that stresses the superiority of the functionalities of this service at an unbeatable price and the positioning of the brand as a synonym of “facility and rapidity, reliability and innovation”.

The media campaign is on the air from 30 August to 5 September on several media: television, radio, billboards, waiting rings, Internet, among others. On television, functionalities such as zapping, recording, internet speed and price are worth mentioning.

There are two pastimes, which are part of the campaign, to be divulged through Facebook, explains Carla Marques. ‘Imitation Ape’ is one of the pastimes in which the comedian Ricardo Araújo Pereira challenges fans to imitate him by performing the features of MEO vis-à-vis the competition, publishing the respective video on Facebook. The winner will participate in the next advertisement of MEO. The next MEO spot will also contain the best device, which will result from a pastime, which challenges fans to design the best device and publish it on Facebook.
