Children are increasingly concerned about the environment, and therefore, Meo Kids will start providing content from National Geographic. This content is to be found at the Discovery area and will be the highlight of the homepage of Meo Kids.

The new area will be composed of pastimes, videos, curiosities and photos of the Animal World and of Environment, Science and Technology:

• Animal World - focus on the funny side of animals;
• Environment – as children are especially open to the need of nature preservation;
• Science and Technology – how things from everyday life work and how man manages his world to make it more comfortable and safe.
  Meo continues to bet on exclusive content, this time with National Geographic Junior. The goal of learning and of discovering while learning is thus reinforced.

About Meo Kids

Meo reinforced its offering on 2 April 2009 by launching Meo Kids, an interactive service exclusively for children with contents adapted to different ages.

Meo Kids is composed of two areas for two different audiences: from 4 to 6 years, and from 7 to 10 years of age. Contents are divided into six areas:

• Television – Direct access to children’s channels in the Meo offering with EPG adapted to viewers’ age;
• Videoclub - Access to all films and series for children available for rental. Video rental may be conditioned through the introduction of a pin;
• Agenda – Access to a culture agenda with suggestions for family programs;
• Kiddy – Access to content for the younger generation. In this space, they may listen to stories, learn about their favourite animals, and a lot more;
• Music – News on music stars, videos and karaoke songs for children;
• Sports – News on sports stars, information as well as videos on different sports disciplines;
• Learn – Access to games and activities in Portuguese, mathematics, history, technology and arts for basic school children;
• Discovery – Area with curiosities on science, reading suggestions and culture agenda;
• Play – Interactive games, jokes, riddles, pastimes and the best programs from the Panda channel;
• Pastimes – Access to pastimes and unique offers.
