PT celebrates Valentine’s Day with specific initiatives

TMN Love Movie Maker, MEO Voucher and SAPO Love Shower are but a few initiatives presented by PT to its customers to celebrate Valentine’s Day.

TMN will launch a new initiative, Love Movie Maker. This is a free application available at http://www.tmn.pt/diadosnamorados.html that will enable the production of a romantic video through a number of Internet contents, made available by the user himself. Under the motto “If words are not enough to express your love, make a video”, Love Movie Maker application requires but a few small steps to create an unpredictable video: identification of a special tune and location for the couple, definition of a brief message and upload of up to four photos. The different contents provided, once mixed by the application, will originate the video, surprising both the recipient and the author. At the end, the video may be sent by email or shared through Fcebook.

In the domain of contents, TMN gathers a diversity of waiting rings, ringtones, wallpapers, and other applications with motives related to Valentine’s Day in the scope of its Mobile Love special offer. Highlight goes to the free waiting ring with one of the latest tunes from Mariah Carey. With this offer, TMN customers may have Mariah Carey sing to your better half until the call is answered.

To mark Valentine’s Day, there will also be a TMN campaign on the air named “Call whoever you care for most” until 14 February.  Running on TV, press, internet and urban billboards, this campaign promotes the Samsung Diva, a mobile with female characteristics that costs €164.90, and the Samsung Star with the promotional price of €109.90, both with touchscreen, 3 Mpixels and Facebook access.

The packages of the TMN Broadband boards will also include vouchers to be exchanged at no extra cost for Kola-t stickers at www.kola-t.tmn.pt, enabling board personalisation with Valentine’s Day motives as well as a few others at the customer’s choice.

“We could watch a movie together… Your choice today” is the motto of the MEO initiative that allows acquiring a Valentine’s Day Gift-Voucher in any PT or TMN store. This voucher allows a €20 credit for movie rental at the MEO VideoClub at a cost of €15.

Moreover, it will be possible to watch a Special Valentine’s Day Cycle, a selection of the best romantic titles: The Ugly Truth, The Proposal, Last Chance Harvey, Twilight, Chocolate, Laws of Attraction, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, in HD among others.

“If you are in Portugal and if you want to take your better-half to your hometown, make an original love declaration”: this is the challenge set by SAPO as the result of a partnership established with RDP Africa and a few of the main African discotheques in Lisbon, Porto and Coimbra.  With the SAPO Love initiative, customers may upload videos with love declarations at the SAPO websites (SAPO Videos), RDP Africa website or at the websites of the discotheques involved in this partnership: Soul Club (Lisbon), Number1 (Porto), Wide (Coimbra) and Ondeando (Seixal). All discotheques will feature different events to celebrate Valentine’s Day, in the scope of which it will be possible to record videos with romantic messages. These messages will be later made available at the ‘Love Shower’, on video channels of the three Sapo portals of Angola (www.sapo.ao), Cape Verde (www.sapo.cv) and Mozambique (www.sapo.mz). The author of the most original love declaration will win a trip to take his better-half to the respective hometown.

It is worth highlighting that SAPO started its internationalisation strategy in 2008, having invested step by step in new markets, namely in Cape Verde, Angola and Mozambique, countries with access to the SAPO portal. New thematic channels, new partnerships and the constitution of local teams have brought SAPO closer to the different audiences with news, reportages, photos and videos that daily contribute to the consolidation of SAPO International.
