PT has been gaining market share in Fixed Broadband in the last ten consecutive quarters, as the result of the solid and continuous growth of its customer base. This growth is based on a strong investment in its fibre-optic network that enables the access to high-speed and high-quality services such as Meo, which has nowadays 800,000 customers i.e. 80% of PT’s Fixed Broadband customers.

It is worth recollecting that Portugal Telecom has recently restated its commitment to invest in its FTTH network, aiming to add 600,000 houses to the circa 1 million homes already passed in Portugal. PT customers already have a 200 Mbps fibre-optic based bandwidth available for Internet access, with similar upload and download speeds.

Assuming a policy of innovation and commitment with Portugal, PT has been developing new technological solutions that allow providing its customers with an offer of advanced telecommunications services.
